A New City, A New Beginning

My journey in Geneva began much like many of yours. As a Mexican fresh out of Les Roches Hospitality School, I followed my (then-boyfriend, now husband) to a new city. With only him and a few acquaintances I felt I needed to make this city my own and not just feel like an added piece to the puzzle; a desire to create something of my own stirred within me.

Turning passion into a Business

While working at Procter & Gamble, I realized something crucial: I loved interacting with people. In 2014, I launched Livingeneva, first as a blog, then as an Instagram community, to share my experiences and help others fall in love with Geneva.

Balancing a corporate job and a growing blog wasn’t easy. I tried everything—running an influencer agency, pitching brands—but rejections piled up. It took time to find my voice and value.

Then, life forced a decision: continue overworking or redefine my purpose. I chose the latter, left my job, pursued a Masters in Digital Marketing, and fully rebranded Livingeneva.

Livingeneva Today: More Than a Blog

Coming out of the pandemic, people craved real connections. Inspired by childhood dreams of event planning (thank you, J.Lo in The Wedding Planner), I started hosting events that brought the community together.

Our first event in 2020 was a turning point. I saw the power of connections—not just social but professional. From exclusive brand collaborations to real friendships and business deals, these events became more than just gatherings.

Livingeneva is a community-driven platform dedicated to creating authentic relationships between locals, newcomers, visitors, and brands. Through curated events, collaborations, and recommendations, we make Geneva a vibrant and dynamic city.
