This changed from the usual events were they present the restaurant, the food, we eat & take zillion of pictures and then we chat and be happy :). This time we actually DID our own food, which was super fun and exciting to do, since it tastes better when you worked for it right?
A little background…. Vapiano was founded in Germany to satisfy customers looking for fresh ingredients, minute made food and Mediterranean inspiration. The named and reputation have spread as fire and Vapiano restaurants are popping all around the world! The BIG boom of Vapiano is due to the fact that the food is done quickly in front of your eyes and the taste is fresh and standardize, what do I mean with standardize? I mean that if you are walking around …. Shanghai and you see a Vapiano you will now what to expect. This makes it a reference and also a synonym of quality and freshness!
We were greeted by the girl that is in charge of the training of all the new Vapiano openings! She is a lovely girl and was happy to show us around and teach us how to cook the signature dishes of Vapiano.
We started our workshop with the Penne All’Arrabiata! To be honest I could not memorize the recipe, and it is not the point to share it anyways. But I remember it was delicious, just enough spicy and perfectly cooked. The Pasta is done there EVERYDAY and it is fresh fresh fresh. You can see the ingredients right in front of your eyes and they also try as much as possible to use local producers and product.
We continued with the Tagliatelle Scampi E Spinaci, I loved this one! So so fresh! The shrimp was yummy and spicy, the spinach fresh and oh so green, and the sun dried tomatoes mmmmm! I really recommend this one if you go to Vapiano.
We also cooked the carbonara! Look at the pictures below.
However…. my favorite part was THE PIZZA! I am a huge pizza lover and I was super happy to do my own pizza. How happy do I look?
With Sakura from Le Petit Chou in Geneva
Nouad did a Diaporama with the pictures! Isn’t cool?
