What a better way to end the month than with a juicy hotel report!
I had the chance to visit The Hotel N’vY Geneva at the end of last year. As you know I am a big passionate of hotels, hospitality, service and everything that involves food 🙂 . It was the first time I stepped into this hotel, and I was really happy to discover that it is a super trendy hotel, with many pieces of modern art decorating all the living spaces and that they have a meat fine dinning restaurant, a bar and a New York-Style Cafe!
I would define the category as “Urban Hotel” because when you walk in, you do not feel like you are entering a hotel, it is more like a place where you would have a drink, sit down and chat with a friend. I will guide you through my visit in the hotel, I hope you will enjoy it!
I started with lunch at Trilby (named after the famous felt hat worn by many artists and celebrities) . It is specialized in beef focusing on exceptional quality, such as the Simmental, the Black Angus or the Kobe-style Wagyu. I had the “Days Menu” (as I usually do) in order to try the creativity of the chef and the freshness of the food. I was not disappointed by the creamy risotto with thin layers of tasty beef (picture below) I followed by a pineapple based dessert more or less like a tiramisu and the final touch was the Champagne Gourmande! (FYI there are many restaurants that offer coffee and 3 small desserts calling this Cafe Gourmand). 100% recommended for a business lunch if you work in the area!
Tag’s Cafe features six mural frescoes by Meres One designed especially for this venue which gives the feeling of a New York’s Cafe. They have an independent access to the street for people that want to pick up a salad, sandwich or a sweet pastry, if offers a laid-back atmosphere to either sip a “Stars Wine List” or work on your computer.
The heart of the hotel you will find the N’vY Bar surrounded by explosive modern art by artists such as David Cintract, Damien Richard, Bruno Catalano, Mr. Brainwash among others. The perfect space to enjoy an afterwork drink (or cocktail even better!) and chill with the DJ’s background music.
The hotel offer 153 rooms. I visited a couple of them including their biggest Suite; SO CHIC! and I have to say they are extremely functional and with a lot of free flow and free light going on. Loved the bathroom area in the Executive rooms and my favorite part were this great mirrors.

Meres One’s signature can also be found in the bedrooms, on the large bed-head canvasses reproducing phrases tagged by the artist
Drawing inspiration from colour therapy, the modular lighting system allows guests to select the lighting atmosphere that best suits their mood (picture far below at the end of the post).
In a few words….
Arty. Cosy. Trendy
Smart – Tech / Internet everywhere (yes!)
Practical: Vallet parking, several F&B venues, spacious and luminous rooms.
Atmosphere: Vibrant, Art, and special sound design by Béatrice Ardisson (how cool is that?)
I would recommend this hotel to any visitor to Geneva travelling alone or in couple. It is the perfect place to take you laptop and work from the Tag’s Cafe or at the Bar while having a beer. Very well connected in terms of WIFI (tested it) and also on plugs.
If you are a local it is fun to visit and see the pieces of art everywhere in the lobby and the different living spaces! Very recommended for a business lunch in the area and a to-go venue too!
