This past weekend was so sunny (and cold!), but we wanted to make the most out of it. Therefore we decided to visit Nernier; a beautiful village close to Geneva (in the French side) and go to its famous restaurant in the lakefront.
Restaurant du Lac is a no-miss whilst visiting Geneva, why? Because first you need to get out of the city a little bit and discover the suburban areas of Geneva with their amazing houses and great gardens. Second, because Nernier is one of the most beautiful villages around, with narrow streets and charming houses.
I have to admit that I have only tried their Perchs Filets, because they are so good! I am sure they have many other good things, however every time I go there I cannot imagine ordering something else! When you order them you have the choice of a menu, therefore you have a green salad, the perch filets with french fries (yei!), and a desert. You have the option of Meuniere sauce or Lemon; in conclusion the Meuniere is a butter sauce served with lemons aside and the lemon sauce is the same sauce, but with lemon inside (no a lot of science).
The deserts were great too; I had the desert of the day and my friends had the Cafe Gourmand, which consists in a coffee or tea with 3-4 different mini desserts! It is great if you want to try many small deserts and not so hungry for a full chocolate mousse.
